Tiger tirade   9/3/2013

Seems the ears-lowerer from Shep has played the “Don’t you know who I am?” card. Most unhelpful.

After attending an AFL clash at the MCG as a guest of the Richmond Football Club, Mr Mathieson emailed its chief executive, Brendon Gale, copying in the Prime Minister’s office, to complain about the Opposition Leader’s access to the team’s inner sanctum and his prominent seating at a pre-game function.

When quizzed about male politicians Janine Haines said.. “you can tell a lot about a man by the woman he marries.” It’s an interesting idea and it generally augurs well for Australia’s previous leaders, from Rudd to Whitlam. If the same rule does also apply for female politicians, well..

Another thing about this. I think what Mathieson really objected to was the fact that Mr Abbott was accompanied by four women, his three daughter and his chief of staff. Which actually makes me wonder if Tim could have cooked this ingenious plan up all by himself. I mean, it’s so brilliant a tactic to complain you have to wonder.. Just sayin’
