You can only hope that after reading this at least some of those attending this crackpot’s Adelaide lecture will feel a tad embarrassed.
Ehrlich, the population control lobby’s alarmist-in-chief, who’s in Australia to speak at the Adelaide Festival, is the easiest doom-monger to slap down. He wrongly predicts calamity as casually as the rest of us discuss the weather.
In his 1968 book The Population Bomb, bible of eco-bellyachers everywhere, he said the planet was about to become so overpopulated that global famine would ensue and millions would die. He predicted that “by the year 2000 the UK will be simply a small group of impoverished islands, inhabited by some 70 million hungry people”. Nope. I can report that Britain is doing so well that we’re more freaked out by an alleged obesity epidemic than by hunger.

I suppose you could say: Britain in 2013 is in fact a small(ish) group of islands. Population is not far short of 70 mill. The country is less powerful than in 1968. As for hunger, anyone who is worried about their weight is hungry some of the time (or a lot: I know!). That includes an awful lot of Britons. So Ehrlich was mostly right after all! (/sarc)
Ehrlich was certainly right about one thing & that was the past & current catastrophic famines in parts of the world like Africa due to population,crop failure & the lack of food.The real threat to humanity is the nuclear arsenals of the USA,Russia,China,Israel & the other terrorist/war criminal nations as such that possess these evil weapons.The reality of nuclear war will soon be upon us all. Last year Dmitry Medvedev warned that Russia is sick & tired of imperialistic US hegemony over the Middle East & that any more attacks & invasions of sovereign nations like Syria or Iran that are of vital strategic importance to Russia will be seen as an attack on Russia itself with the possibility of a nuclear war with the West.This was hardly on any MSM news source. Russia has recently mobilised its Armed forces near the Caspian sea in preparation for a Iran/Israel war, it has also mobilised its nuclear arsenal in Western Russia in response to the hawkish policies of the US missile defense shield in Europe.
When the war loving lunatics like Obama,Bush,Bibi etc etc in Washington or Tel Aviv decide to attack operational nuclear reactors in Iran, the alarmist analysts such as Gerald Celente & at Global Research will be proven right by the fact that by attacking “operational” nuclear reactors they will spew radiation across Iran & that region killing 100,000′s of innocent people & spreading severe illnesses such as cancer to millions more,this madness could easily affect Iran’s northern
neighbour Russia.
Another thing the war hawks will misjudge is Iran’s ability to wage retaliation before US forces totally destroy Iran. Iran will inflict loses on US ground & naval forces in the Middle East on a scale not seen since 1945. This war will lay total destruction to Iran,Israel & all of the Middle East. This war will also have catastrophic consequences for the world economy as “oil” prices skyrocket,stock markets go in meltdown which will catastrophically collapse the entire global economy overnight.
The consequences from this will bring more catastrophic destruction when terrorism far beyond 9/11 erupts on a global scale along with thousands of deadly food riots. Thousands of cities will resemble war zones worldwide. Analysts also predict this war will rapidly spread out of the Middle East to nations like nuclear armed enemies Pakistan & India. Currently Pakistan is on the verge of becoming a failed Islamist state with nuclear weapons. US drone attacks killing innocent civilians in Pakistan are driving the Pakistani people to extremism which is being warned by the likes of Imran Khan who opposes illegal US drone attacks in Pakistan.
Also predicted when this chaos spreads is the use of tactical nuclear weapons, it is also believed that limited nuclear war is impossible & nations like the USA will be drawn into direct conflict with Russia & China before a full blown global nuclear erupts killing billions worldwide & in the aftermath devastating climate change from a nuclear winter will happen. In these severe miserable freezing conditions the rest of the entire human race will perish into extinction along with all plant & animal life . This is what awaits humanity if war erupts with Iran or a conflict erupts between North & South Korea or between China & other nations over disputed islands & oilfields in the Pacific.
World War 3 is certainly looking inevitable.
