Evolving stupidity   19/2/2013

Well, it’s no surprise to anyone who watches commercial TV, travels on public transport or who overhears conversations between, like, under 25s:

Would you be surprised to hear that the human race is slowly becoming dumber, and dumber?

What would expect Bernie from a populace so heavily influenced from the stupidest culture & people on the planet, the Americans.

Most Americans are poorly educated and are so ignorant, most Americans believe in creationism over evolution & have next to no knowledge of history. Obama did not know how many states there were in the US, George W Bush confused Australia with Austria, Sarah Palin believes she can see Russia from Anchorage, Alaska & that creationism is real & evolution is false.

What a stupid generalisation. Which country gave us the telephone, network broadcasting, affordable cars, the internet, plastics, Hollywood movies, Broadway musicals, jazz and rock, Mark Twain and John Steinbeck, the Marx brothers . . . could go on ad infinitum.

That’s right Bernie. Per capita and in raw numbers America dominates Nobel prizes

Regards being “poorly educated & ignorant”:
Does it count if someone takes the punchline of a joke on a TV comedy show, and believes that punchline to be an actual real live fair dinkum quote by a public figure?

    Todd. Ignorant. Poorly Educated. Etc.

Sorry to come in so late, but I have to say that the good professor cited is basically pulling it out of his proverbial.

He has no actual data, no numbers, the language is full of junk-science clauses like ‘may have the effect’, ‘could’ etc.

We see plenty of that in other disreputable areas like AGW ‘science’.

What actual hard numbers there are seem to indicate that IQ scores are increasing. This is well known to scientists, and is called ‘the Flynn Effect’ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flynn_effect)

So rest easy Slatts, your grandson will likely be smarter than you …

“So rest easy Slatts, your grandson will likely be smarter than you”

The usual suspects are working on that with a bold new plan or another ejumucation revolution or some such-
Idiots blaming teachers after dumbing down curriculum and standards and flinging open the doors to our sandstones.

“They would also have to demonstrate suitable values and aptitude by providing a portfolio of activities such as coaching a sports team, volunteer work or community involvement.”

“Teaching students who failed to meet the benchmark would be offered classes to meet the requirements.”

Ve haf vays of making you toe the Party line comrades!
