A merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year to all travellers on this blogship. We’re off to this getaway tomorrow for a three-day seasonal gathering of the clan. Should be fun with four generations in attendance. Now to attend to provisions . . . wine, ham, beer, cake, wine, prawns, beer, fruit, wine, turkey, beer, chocolate, wine, oh, and more beer.
UPDATE: Heh, heh, just learnt that our destination – Wildwood Retreat at Pennyroyal – doesn’t have mobile phone or TV reception. Chance for the youngies to learn some old-school distractions like conversations and card games. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas used to be.
