Confused roles   15/11/2012

Cripes, imagine the outrage from the eternally aggrieved when this becomes common knowledge:

WHEN she’s not running his bath, fetching the newspaper or blowdrying his hair the Opposition Leader’s wife, Margy Abbott, is often flopped on the couch at The Lodge watching him in parliament.

Oh, the misogyny of expecting the little woman to be available at all hours to tend to his every need.

When Mr Abbott returned home very late that night Margy was asleep but she says she woke up and drew him a bath.
“Obviously he’d had a big day,” she said.

But Margy tries so hard to be relevant:

At home she behaves like a very caring and solicitous partner, delivering the busy Opposition Leader his morning paper and helping with an early morning blow wave for the television cameras.
“Then I have to recover during the day and sit on the couch and watch parliament which usually puts you to sleep . . .,” she said.

Wonder which press gallery member will be first to point out the staggering hypocrisy revealed in this article? Don’t hold your breath.

I was beginning to think Gillard hated men, which was why she had been keeping him out of sight.

It would be hypocrisy if men had been oppressed for thousands of years Bern.

Men have been oppressed for thousands of years: peasant men, working class men, underclass men, Catholic men, black men, disabled men, Jewish men, as well as women from those backgrounds. The way some ”progressives” carry on, you’d think the only persecuted class are middle class, white, educated feminists.

    You serious Bern?
Men have owned 90% of the world wealth in that time.

But not all men. In fact, men who owned 90 per cent of world wealth were a minority of men who shared that wealth and the power that came with it with women. The majority of men and their women were oppressed by that minority and their women. This awkward fact is probably behind the push to eliminate history from school studies.

I couldn’t agree with your comment 5 more, Bernie. It is well stated and it should be stated more often!

Your problem Bernie is you just don’t see your missus as the true victim she is in a dichotomous oppressor/victim world that only leftists can fully comprehend. Even if she doesn’t feel oppressed by you that doesn’t count because victims like her can never appreciate just how oppressed she is, like leftist men always can. It’s all very straightforward and logical since an old white male called Marx spelled it out in black and white in the bible for leftists everywhere. Oh and speaking of black and white she’s not got a bit of black in her somewhere has she?
