Must get to the TAB to back Glencadam Gold for both Cups. The UK import led all the way in yesterday’s Metropolitan to win by lengths and give Gai Waterhouse her best chance of Melbourne or Caulfield Cup success. Can’t recall a better staying performance than yesterday’s effort. Should have backed it for the Cups after it nutted rivals last month in the Newcastle Cup. Since yesterday’s win its price has dived from $20 to $6. I’ve still got Dame Claire in the Melbourne Cup at fixed odds at 300/1.
