Imagine the type of society we’d endure had green policies been in force when this country was settled.
If Labor is to have a future it must divorce itself from this idiocy.
A RESEARCH report that found there was insufficient water to make northern Australia a food bowl for the nation did not consider building dams because it was against Labor policy.
The Northern Australia Land and Water Taskforce relied heavily on the work done by the CSIRO’s Northern Australia Sustainable Yields project, whose scientists were told not to worry about investigating dams.
I can not see the point in not building dams.The Snowy MOuntain scheme was designed for the growing needs of the community. Hasn’t the community grown a hell of a lot more recently. There is no fore planning in this country for the future growth. Do they think”Let them come and then it will rain”
Just imagine the first fleet turning up and saying no roads no schools.Only enough room for twenty two million.
It is not an objective research report if it includes current Labor policies as a major factor. Northern Territory agriculture is a generational issue, and all possibilities should be canvassed for the long term. Anyway the study was probably done by 4000 scientists in white coats measuring things, so it must be all right.
