Talentless hag Sandra Bernhard has well and truly out-slimed her celebrity cronies in attacks on Sarah Palin by warning that the VP candidate would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers” if she comes to New York as planned this week.
As pointed out here, attacks by Hollywood airheads will most probably only bolster middle America’s support for Palin.
Love this line from Barbra Striesand, who claimed on her website that McCain’s selection of Palin to lure Clinton voters was a calculated, cynical ploy that would fail.
“We are not that stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she wrote.
You sure, Babs?
Um, I’d have thought that 20 exclamation marks in a row is the literary equivalent of a foot-stamp.

I often wonder if acting/drama classes have a political science/activist module included in the coursework. In the alternative, why is it that the mainstream media see merit in the political views of famous actors and actresses? I would have thought that the average jo-blow who travels to and from work each day would have an equally valid opinion. Maybe obvious success is what the media is attracted to. If that is the case, those who are especially good at pretending to be what they are not could be telling big porkies for their own enrichment and we, the people, would never know. I’d rather trust someone who is obviously good at being him/herself, like the person who travels to and from work each day.

Nobody looks smart by pretending to take comments made by an actor during a rehearsed comedy sketch seriously. Bernhardt’s whole schtick is the ‘angry lesbian’ bit – she’s simply playing a character for entertainment value.
Hillary had a much better sense of humour about her candidacy.
Mondo Rock, anyone who knows me is well aware of my distinctly distasteful sense of humour. I’ve read large chunks of her “skit” and not only were her comments out of line in this context, they just weren’t very clever or, much worse, weren’t even funny either.

The Democrats set this whole demolition ball rolling with their insistence on loans for losers and they’ve controlled the House for the past two years yet have resisted moves by the executive to pass necessary controls. Still, the polls say the public is still supporting the Democrats. So, I’d say the people are not showing much sign at all of waking up to the party that has America in such a mess.

Oh Bernie,I live in Collingwood i live in an expensive but thats not the case for all of us, considering those in Public housing but i dont look down upon them as you would.I have to say we’ve had a lot of change in Collingwood with wealthier young people move into renovated warehouse apartments, we’ve got differnet ethnic groups like the asians you’ve mentioned which i have no problem with but i can understand why a person like you would.We also have attracted the gay and lesbian population which is good for diversity.But unfortunately Collingwood still has a high rate of poverty. As for Eddie he is living in Toorak he is still a staunch Labor man with his roots being in Broadmeadows.He does not have the upper class attitude of the Libs and yourself with those that come from big houses should stay in big houses.Oh Collingwood is still a donater to the ALP, always has and alway will be.
