Greenpeace embarks on a whitewash.

The environmental campaign group Greenpeace is attempting to quietly re-write its history, particularly surrounding its co-founder Patrick Moore. Moore has been a thorn in Greenpeace’s side for many years, and recently stated that any changes in earth’s climate were “minor” – and that there was no evidence of human involvement.

Where can a doughnut shop not sell doughnuts? Why, as the song goes:
Down at the YMCA
Young man, it’s definitely a place you can go where they’re short on their dough.
The nanny state goosesteps in again.
And as usual screws up again.

According to Honey Dew’s website, its low-fat muffins contain more calories and sugar than many of its doughnuts.
For example, its “Low Fat Blueberry Muffin” has 430 calories, while in comparison, its “Chocolate Frosted Donut” has 280 calories

The Saturday Paper, launched today, seems a brave venture, taking on Fairfax for the hearts and minds of politically left readers. Where it becomes a crazy brave exercise is in deciding that lefty grassroots territory, such as Sydney’s western suburbs, is worthy only of derision. Remember when snobs were exclusively to the right of politics?
