Small talk   14/12/2012

Couple of questions raised by this act of politically correct contrition from a black US politician.
Why didn’t he apologise to “abnormally tall people”?
Surely “abnormally small people” could be seen as just as offensive a term as “midget”?

( – Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) compared companies and workers to a “cage fight” between a “giant” and a “midget” on Wednesday night. By Thursday, he publicly expressed regret to “abnormally small people” for using the “m-word”.

Tough times ahead

Expect a lean and mean 2013 as socialist incompetents in Canberra run out of other people’s money to spend.

HOUSEHOLD tax increases of more than $1000, including a new state land levy on the family home, will be needed to fund an annual $2.5 billion budget black hole caused by Gillard government cost-shifting, according to explosive advice to Victorian Treasurer Kim Wells.

Gillard and co can hurl all the “hyperbowl” they like about misogynists, internet nutjobs and sneerers and smearers, it can’t change the facts: the economy is going downhill faster than Mulga Bill from Eaglehawk and incompetence and ideological idiocy are helping propel it.
At least one Labor luminary is prepared to take a frank approach.
